My role
During my tenure at Apple, I worked on multiple projects like email marketing, WWDC event branding, product launches of iPad and iPad mini, and design templates for iPhoto products.
My contribution in creating Cards App (a year-long project) was from concept to completion. I worked on user experience, and product design (print and digital) collaborated with the cross-functional teams of front-end engineers, motion designers, and print-production artists. I sourced and directed designers, illustrators, and typographers to add to the stack of card designs.

iPad Mini Launch
I collaborated with a team of designers on first generation iPad mini launch
event. The deliverables included emails, posters, environmental graphics, and keynote presentation assets.

iTune Gift Cards
One of the first projects I worked on at Apple was to create designs for
iTune Gift Cards library. Most of the designs are in use even today.
Internal Communications
Internal communication at Apple allowed a greater degree of freedom
for expressing ideas. I loved creating straightforward concepts that aligned
with the brand and were exciting to implement.

Our objective in developing digital templates was to provide a user-friendly
and enjoyable platform, allowing people to effortlessly share their memories.
To achieve this, we designed various themes such as baby announcement, holiday, travel and neutral options, catering to a wide range of preferences
and occasions.

The Cards app was designed to let you create and mail beautifully crafted letterpress cards personalized with your own text and photos — right from your iPhone or iPad. You could use photos from your photo library or take a quick snapshot and with a few taps and swipes, an elegant letterpress card would be sent to any address in the world.
The app was released internationally in 16 languages and 6 categories.

Behind the scene
True to Apple standard, pixel perfect app and beautiful cards were not enough. For premium customer experience, we added details such as handwritten font for envelopes and exclusive postage stamps designed by Apple.

We created customized stamp design, one for international mail and another for national mail in collaboration with USPS. Here are some explorations.

This video was created to explain the basic concept of the Cards application. It shows the desktop version of the app.
Contribution
As a lead Art Director, I set the direction for the initial product concept, worked with UX/UI team to expand the app into a viable product.
I contributed print designs for cards, directed other designer’s efforts, and worked with the vendors to create additional designs. I supervised the print and digital production of card assets. I lead the cross-functional communication with the team of engineers and developers to keep the integrity of the initial concept and to maintain a quality.
